Rafael Gaspar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Casimiro Abreu. ALIDIM FOR EVER's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thiago Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Chinomso Tapia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aníbal das Neves skillfully saved the ball. Ulisses Marquez hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in ALIDIM FOR EVER's zone, Serginho Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Abreu came out of the goal and Serginho Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Chinomso Tapia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of ALIDIM FOR EVER booed when AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. ALIDIM FOR EVER's Chinomso Tapia got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Agostinho Maraschin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Nahia to make the kick off. Aníbal das Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd match minute, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Massa to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Chinomso Tapia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaltino Maraschins short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Casimiro Abreu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Serginho Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Luís Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldo Gombal hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
