In the 26th minute Francis Cesura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Burtea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, MIT Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Glodeanu to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petrică Geantă made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Maxim Petran notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Deportivo ScrugenFC's Baiarte Cazares. Baiarte Cazares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valer Papadima during the 56th minute.
