The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Remy Van Eyken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Lange in the 6th minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Tomas Peeters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Çağlar Soyuncu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Romulo Cesario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Peeters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Tomas Peeters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remy Van Eyken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Işık Hurmacı having to interfere. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Peeters in the 35th minute of play. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Cesario in the 36th minute of play. Fabian Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Lange, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remy Van Eyken in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Işık Hurmacı saved LİONS PEAK from getting behind. A collision led to Haithabu FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Önder Kaçan hit a great ball. LİONS PEAK's Hamlet Häfliger was substituted for Gilbert Lange. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

LİONS PEAK made a substitution. Attila Szalai replaced Vedat Mertoğlu. LİONS PEAK's attentive Çağlar Soyuncu managed to snatch the ball when Sylwester Sobania made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Romulo Cesario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Cesario came free, but Fabian Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elmar Tuulemaa's late challenge caught a Haithabu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elmar Tuulemaa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, LİONS PEAK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmar Tuulemaa to maneuver through the defense. Işık Hurmacı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 82nd minute Romulo Cesario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes Haithabu FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Peeters who took care of the corner kick. Sylwester Sobania tried in the 87th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Fabian Söderström a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-1. Haithabu FC's Gervasio Albonico was substituted for Kurt Slaghmeulders. Haithabu FC's Adrian Astigar was substituted for Simon Blomquist. LİONS PEAK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
