Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Lira came free, but Lajos Vadász reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Flavinho Quirino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lajos Vadász. Flavinho Quirino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Lajos Vadász made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Quirino in the 12th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Club A. Independiente's Emilio Henric made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dedé Dionísio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, Alberto Acosta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedé Dionísio. HollywooDogs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Acosta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavinho Quirino got free with Lajos Vadász in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Lajos Vadász had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukasz Sidor. Club A. Independiente's Lajos Vadász proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Club A. Independiente from getting a goal against them. Dedé Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Henric in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the game Fred de Brito made a throw-in which Ricardinho Alvarenga played forward. Lajos Vadász showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilio Henric stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Flavinho Quirino put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lajos Vadász. Marcos Liberto's late challenge caught a HollywooDogs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Liberto helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Club A. Independiente:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HollywooDogs:s goal. The referee gave HollywooDogs a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ricardinho Alvarenga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club A. Independiente's Lajos Vadász. 3-2. HollywooDogs made a substitution. Ştefan Văduva replaced Fabio Weidt. The supporters of Club A. Independiente booed when HollywooDogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. HollywooDogs's Zé Pedro Mineiro was substituted for Flavinho Quirino. Lajos Vadász took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Dudu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to HollywooDogs getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Rony Dudu hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Club A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Shtapov to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th match minute, HollywooDogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Lajos Vadász didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Pedro Mineiro went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the HollywooDogs players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
