In the 6th minute, Amarante Sierra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hispania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Emilio Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hispania getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. José Jaraba hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Hispania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Pais to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Hispania's goalkeeper Arif Memduh Akova had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilio Henric. 30 minutes into the match, Club A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Amarante Sierra came free, but Lajos Vadász reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lajos Vadász didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Kubala went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Club A. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Hispania's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vladimir Shtapov took the corner. In the 43rd match minute, Hispania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Pais to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Emilio Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Memduh Akova saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lajos Vadász stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filip Kubala's shot from short distance in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Filip Kubala made the kick off in the second half. Gaspar Rocio made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emilio Henric immediately put the ball in play. In the 60th minute, Esteban Canosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1-2 came in the 62nd minute when Vladimir Shtapov all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Arif Memduh Akova. In the 65th minute, Hispania's Amarante Sierra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Arif Memduh Akova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Henric, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hispania's goalkeeper Arif Memduh Akova, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lajos Vadász made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filip Kubala in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the game, Filip Kubala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Lajos Vadász was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hispania made a substitution. Osman Čiček replaced Filip Kubala. Hispania's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
