The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Dracena in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Dracena notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo. Rolando Merexildo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to PGE FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fabricio Macerio hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Trindade Atlético Club's Eşref Guftar tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dagoberto Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Merexildo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rolando Merexildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute Dagoberto Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The supporters of PGE FC booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Lindström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, PGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Odon to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Trindade Atlético Club's Dagoberto Dracena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Rolando Merexildo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dagoberto Dracena went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Trindade Atlético Club from getting a goal against them. Rolando Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Trindade Atlético Club were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dagoberto Dracena was the one to do the kick off. Dagoberto Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raul Isauro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Víktor Magalhães took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Rolando Merexildo to make any attempt to save it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Trindade Atlético Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
