Alberto Jaunti hit a great ball. After 22 minutes of play, Yala's Gogo Chabier made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Eriksson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Bastiaro notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson. Martin Eriksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Yavuz Acabay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Gogo Chabier took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Eriksson. Martin Eriksson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 37th match minute, Kroton F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Porto to maneuver through the defense. Martin Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Claude in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Igor Hats cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Martin Eriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Yala booed when Kroton F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Støle didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Zeledon Curcio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Örtendahl in the 55th minute of play. Santiago Feo tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Zeledon Curcio. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-5 in the 56th minute. Gogo Chabier took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Eriksson. Martin Eriksson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. After 63 minutes, Santiago Feo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yala and the Kroton F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Santiago Feo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Gogo Chabier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martin Eriksson. The goal made the score 2-7. The crowd rose to their feet as Yala's Igor Hats slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Martin Eriksson. That made the score 2-8 after 77 minutes of play. 80 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Igor Hats came free, but Martin Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Martin Eriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gogo Chabier. In the 86th minute, Igor Hats made a precise shot to the right of Martin Eriksson. Kroton F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-9. 89 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Igor Hats came free, but Martin Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes Kroton F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Vieira. A collision led to Kroton F.C. getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Laerte Porto hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kroton F.C.'s zone, Gogo Chabier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Eriksson came out of the goal and Gogo Chabier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yala played a much better game than Kroton F.C. and deserved their victory. The Kroton F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
