Cristiano Chitarroni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Henk Pijps made a huge save. 3 minutes into the match, KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Henk Pijps had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Vieira. Henk Pijps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Messias in the 4th minute of play. Ferdinand Weijnants fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Eriksson having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, Kroton F.C.'s Cristiano Chitarroni made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henk Pijps was left in no man's land by his defense there! Camillo Pavlu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. If Miguel Clijsters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristiano Chitarroni in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henk Pijps, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 27 minutes into the match, KFC Vliegplein's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Messias came free, but Henk Pijps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Weijnants in the 33rd minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Martin Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Ferdinand Weijnants made a precise shot to the right of Martin Eriksson. Kroton F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Martin Eriksson came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Vliegplein's Philipp Van Emelen. But to his dismay, Philipp Van Emelen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Patrick Vieira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Henk Pijps made a huge save. In the 43rd match minute, KFC Vliegplein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Weijnants to maneuver through the defense. Henk Pijps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Messias in the 44th minute of the match. Kroton F.C.'s Severino Messias managed to work through KFC Vliegplein's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Severino Messias dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. KFC Vliegplein's Henk Pijps proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Vliegplein from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Messias to make the kick off. A collision led to KFC Vliegplein getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Philipp Van Emelen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Weijnants in the 57th minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Martin Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk Pijps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Messias in the 58th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Ieberink during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Martin Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul-Louis Jannes, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Johannes Støle's late challenge caught a KFC Vliegplein's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Støle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Kroton F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Støle to maneuver through the defense.
