An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Moreira in the 13th minute of play forced Nueva Adalucia's goalkeeper Larpe Cabrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Larpe Cabrera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauro Moreira in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Club Atletico Chusca got a corner. Nueva Adalucia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Herman Arvidsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 72 minutes, Lauro Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Chusca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauro Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atletico Chusca's Alberto Confesor was substituted for Herman Arvidsson. If Lauro Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Larpe Cabrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Moreira in the 83rd minute of play.
