The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Balaban Akçam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma got control of the ball when Johannes Baumjohann tried to sneak it across the goal line. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Balaban Akçam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 13th minute of play. When Karol Panasewicz came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Blue Mountain State fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karol Panasewicz couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afşar Uçuk in the 18th minute of play forced ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's goalkeeper Balaban Akçam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Karol Panasewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Balaban Akçam was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Balaban Akçam came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz. But to his dismay, Karol Panasewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Karol Panasewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Balaban Akçam having to make a save. In the 27th minute Karol Panasewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balaban Akçam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balaban Akçam came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Blue Mountain State's Vitinho Faria. But to his dismay, Vitinho Faria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Blue Mountain State getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Afşar Uçuk hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Karol Panasewicz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Balaban Akçam. Balaban Akçam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 47 minutes Blue Mountain State's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet Reha Zeren who took care of the corner kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 56thth minute of the game Karol Panasewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Balaban Akçam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blue Mountain State were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Afşar Uçuk took the corner. 63 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Giraldo came free, but Robin Sharma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Blue Mountain State's Vitinho Faria slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Balaban Akçam. That made the score 0-4 after 67 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Panasewicz in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Balaban Akçam saved ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı from getting behind. 72 minutes into the game, Karol Panasewicz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Balaban Akçam. Karol Panasewicz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Blue Mountain State made a substitution. Lionel-Andrés Messi replaced Karol Panasewicz. Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Baumjohann in the 76th minute of play. If Vitinho Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Blue Mountain State booed when ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Giraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Lionel-Andrés Messi made a precise shot to the right of Balaban Akçam. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Giraldo in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lionel-Andrés Messi could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Balaban Akçam however easily saved by the left post. If Lionel-Andrés Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The throw-in from Ahmet Reha Zeren in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Blue Mountain State's Yaser Oğuzman. After having played for 93 minutes, Lionel-Andrés Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Mountain State's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lionel-Andrés Messi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitinho Faria scored 0-7 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Balaban Akçam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Blue Mountain State were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
