PAOK FC's Wladyslaw Brudzisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pankracy Malicki in the 3rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Newcastle United's Wladyslaw Brudzisz threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pankracy Malicki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermis Zacharatos in the 6th minute of play. Theofilos Vrochopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. Wladyslaw Brudzisz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marian Zembrzuski in the 9th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Wladyslaw Brudzisz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kostas Lemonis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Marian Zembrzuski could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Wladyslaw Brudzisz however easily saved by the left post. When Newcastle United's Marian Zembrzuski in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PAOK FC's goalie prevented a goal. PAOK FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Pankracy Malicki scored to the left of an out of position Wladyslaw Brudzisz, making the score, 1-0. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sotiris Vourtzoumis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kajetan Kochniarczyk in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wladyslaw Brudzisz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Zembrzuski got free with Wladyslaw Brudzisz in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the last second Wladyslaw Brudzisz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Pankracy Malicki in the 30thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Marian Zembrzuski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Wladyslaw Brudzisz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 44th minute Olgierd Wojtowicz suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Theofilos Vrochopoulos's late challenge caught a Newcastle United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theofilos Vrochopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Theofilos Vrochopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Marian Zembrzuski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wladyslaw Brudzisz. Marian Zembrzuski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Wladyslaw Brudzisz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Zembrzuski, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pankracy Malicki in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wladyslaw Brudzisz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute, Thymios Sanidomenos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marian Zembrzuski in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wladyslaw Brudzisz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Newcastle United were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after PAOK FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Donato Christobal took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Zembrzuski in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wladyslaw Brudzisz saved PAOK FC from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, PAOK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pankracy Malicki came free, but Wladyslaw Brudzisz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk got control of the ball when Ermis Zacharatos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute Marian Zembrzuski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wladyslaw Brudzisz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theofilos Vrochopoulos in the 75th minute of play. Ermis Zacharatos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Mikolaj Jerzyk made a huge save. Nikos Kaklamanos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mikolaj Jerzyk firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sotiris Vourtzoumis kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Wladyslaw Brudzisz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marian Zembrzuski went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Pankracy Malicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to PAOK FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Isidoros Lefkopoulos hit a great ball. Wladyslaw Brudzisz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Zembrzuski's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ermis Zacharatos sent off a good shot on target. Wladyslaw Brudzisz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Zembrzuski in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Pankracy Malicki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wladyslaw Brudzisz. PAOK FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pankracy Malicki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Newcastle United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
