After a rather tough play, Hønning's Jeppe Andersen got a free kick in the 4th minute. Laurids Grejsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Dirch Glerum made a huge save. Loco De Remate's Rene Aires got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hønning's Dirch Glerum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Hønning from getting a goal against them. Dirch Glerum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Aires's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 32nd minute Rene Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Aires got free with Dirch Glerum in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Hønning's Dirch Glerum got control of the ball when Rene Aires tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Loco De Remate booed when Hønning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Beton didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Rene Aires made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Rene Aires notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hønning's Dirch Glerum. Dirch Glerum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56th minute, Rene Aires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dirch Glerum was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Hønning's John-Arne Riise got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Hønning defense, Rene Aires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dirch Glerum. The Hønning fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dirch Glerum should have stopped the shot. After taking down the ball on Loco De Remate's corner Feliciano Iratxo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dirch Glerum quite easily take care of the ball. After 82 minutes, Bruno Medero made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hønning's Dirch Glerum tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dirch Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hıdır Namal, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Dirch Glerum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hıdır Namal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Hıdır Namal notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Hønning's Dirch Glerum. Dirch Glerum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, Loco De Remate could leave the field as winners, despite Hønning having more of the ball for most of the match.
