Michael Näver was slow to take the kick. During this time Protegéerna's players had a chance to rest. After 17 played minutes ÜSTEĞMEN FK got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Bogatu. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Näver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petter Skarkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petter Skarkman in the 23rd minute of play. Petter Skarkman might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Hakkı Yörük. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petter Skarkman ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petter Skarkman in the 24th minute of play forced ÜSTEĞMEN FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Yörük to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind ÜSTEĞMEN FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Yörük, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 29th minute of the match. Protegéerna were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after ÜSTEĞMEN FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Michael Näver took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Michael Näver got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mehmet Hakkı Yörük quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Petter Skarkman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Protegéerna's supporters rose to their feet, but Petter Skarkman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, ÜSTEĞMEN FK's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Python came free, but Mehmet Hakkı Yörük reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Protegéerna were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Protegéerna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petter Skarkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Protegéerna had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
