After 9 played minutes Surahammar got a freekick which was hit by Markus Wallman. 11 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Jarkko Laatikainen came free, but Carl Engström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17thth minute of the game Radamel Oakley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glyka Nera FC's Narciso Eusko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maciej Żurawski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Engström having to interfere. Radamel Oakley scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narciso Eusko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 33rd minute of play forced Glyka Nera FC's goalkeeper Narciso Eusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carl Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Żurawski in the 34th minute of play. Maciej Żurawski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Carl Engström made a huge save. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Tan Torpe with Stergios Gitkos as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maciej Żurawski got free with Carl Engström in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarkko Laatikainen to strike the kick off in the second half. Carl Engström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Teneketzis, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarkko Laatikainen in the 55th minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Carl Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Surahammar's Zlatan Lion was substituted for Toninho Lara. Surahammar's Folke Skröder was substituted for Vincent Benett. In the 59th minute of the game Tan Torpe made a throw-in which Maciej Żurawski played forward. Carl Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kostas Teneketzis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes, Stergios Gitkos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glyka Nera FC and the Surahammar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stergios Gitkos hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Zlatan Lion made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Glyka Nera FC's Tan Torpe. Narciso Eusko made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Victor Santxol sent off a good shot on target. Narciso Eusko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Santxol in the 71st minute of the match. Carl Engström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maciej Żurawski's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute, Tan Torpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glyka Nera FC's Güven Çırakoğlu was substituted for Maciej Żurawski. In the 78th minute, Tan Torpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the game, Surahammar's Victor Santxol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narciso Eusko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Surahammar's Mark Brovall quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Santxol got free with Narciso Eusko in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Surahammar! The Surahammar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Surahammar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
