Peter Söderqwist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gabriele Batistutas short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Antonio Venceslao to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Antonio Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Menchu FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Del Acuerdo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armando Roland took the corner. Siro Osasun was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Del Acuerdo's Antonio Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 16th minute of play. Antonio Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Venceslao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Del Acuerdo's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Antonio Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriele Batistuta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Antonio Venceslao made a huge save. Gabriele Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Del Acuerdo's Antonio Venceslao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Del Acuerdo from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Del Acuerdo's zone, Gabriele Batistuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Venceslao came out of the goal and Gabriele Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Del Acuerdo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Benat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Del Acuerdo's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriele Batistuta came free, but Antonio Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Del Acuerdo defense, Gabriele Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Venceslao. The Del Acuerdo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Venceslao should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the game, Alvaro Benat threw the ball into play from the sideline. Menchu FC's Siro Osasun quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Del Acuerdo's Costel Stroiescu was substituted for Urbano Matteo. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorio Calvet to strike the kick off in the second half. Antonio Venceslao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriele Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Gorri hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Del Acuerdo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Benat to maneuver through the defense. Menchu FC made a substitution. Mayer Candelo replaced Uriel Gorri. Menchu FC's Herbert Pilarski was substituted for Peter Söderqwist. A collision led to Del Acuerdo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alvaro Benat hit a great ball. Antonio Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute Gabriele Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriele Batistuta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Venceslao having to make a save. Antonio Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 65th minute of play. When Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Del Acuerdo's goalie prevented a goal. Del Acuerdo's Jesus Baraquiel was substituted for Saturnino Rodas. In the 74th minute Menchu FC were awarded a corner. Armando Roland went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Armando Roland got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antonio Venceslao quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 76th minute of play forced Del Acuerdo's goalkeeper Antonio Venceslao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Roberto Carlo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriele Batistuta in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Venceslao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Del Acuerdo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armando Roland was slow to take the kick. During this time Menchu FC's players had a chance to rest. Menchu FC's George Grönlund was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Antonio Venceslao in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Gabriele Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Antonio Venceslao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 87th minute of the match. When Gabriele Batistuta came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Menchu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriele Batistuta couldn't finish the play. Gabriele Batistuta struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Antonio Venceslao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menchu FC. Menchu FC's Silverio Sergi was substituted for Siro Osasun. Camilo Salvidor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorio Calvet in the 97th minute. Menchu FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
