Jaime Laurin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Calvino in the 12th minute of play. Gelp 22's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nicasio Fonda 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. With an all-out effort, Esmeralda AFC's Jaime Laurin threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicasio Fonda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gelp 22's Jaime Laurin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Matxin in the 24th minute of play. Gelp 22's Jaime Laurin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Gelp 22 from getting a goal against them. After 29 minutes Gelp 22's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kong Kun Xu who took care of the corner kick. 33 minutes into the match, Gelp 22's goal looked a bit too open when Kong Kun Xu came free, but Jaime Laurin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Zülfü Sungur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Laurin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Laurin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Fonda, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Silvestre Monte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 played minutes, Esmeralda AFC's Kong Kun Xu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jaime Laurin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Esmeralda AFC reached it. A collision led to Gelp 22 getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Oliverios Cao hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Fonda in the 44th minute of play forced Gelp 22's goalkeeper Jaime Laurin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Esmeralda AFC's David Banegas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jaime Laurin. That made the score 2-0 after 46 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Abajas was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gelp 22's goalkeeper Jaime Laurin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute Nicasio Fonda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Laurin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gelp 22's Jaime Laurin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Calvino in the 57th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Gelp 22 got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Monte. Kong Kun Xu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaime Laurin. Gelp 22's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Orlando Abajas fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gelp 22's protests and gave Orlando Abajas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Orlando Abajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Laurin came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Esmeralda AFC's Nicasio Fonda. But to his dismay, Nicasio Fonda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Fonda in the 72nd minute of play forced Gelp 22's goalkeeper Jaime Laurin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Laurin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Fonda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eloy Calvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Laurin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Gelp 22's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Calvino came free, but Jaime Laurin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Esmeralda AFC had played much better football throughout.
