In the 33rdth minute of the game Genko Balevski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vejbystrand's 龙挺卫 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Omar Duardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Endrik Fuchs's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Omar Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endrik Fuchs in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Genko Balevski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 龙挺卫 was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. 46 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Endrik Fuchs came free, but Omar Duardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Vejbystrand were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Harald Ennegren might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Duardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The shot was a little too simple and Omar Duardo could save by the left post. Harald Ennegren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 龙挺卫 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genko Balevski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vejbystrand's 龙挺卫 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hulk Fenomeno in the 92nd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
