Cactos's attentive Victoriano Loreto managed to snatch the ball when Olcay Orkun Gökekin made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. Bran Allison was a little too slow when Fernando Amorebieta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-4. After having played for 77 minutes, Dani Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dani Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Cengizhan Baycan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Scarafia Ghost. Go Ahead Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cengizhan Baycan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. In the 90th minute of the match Go Ahead Eagles got a corner. Cactos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dani Maranhense ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Go Ahead Eagles's Dani Maranhense to fire away a dangerous shot which Bran Allison despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Cengizhan Baycan made a precise shot to the right of Scarafia Ghost. Go Ahead Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. The Cactos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Go Ahead Eagles's performance. The match ended with a win for Go Ahead Eagles.
