The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaroslaw Komanski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Nordkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Maciej Brzeszczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raigo Vananurm in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Nordkvist in the 13th minute of play forced FC Goodfellas's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Komanski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gert Nordkvist in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaroslaw Komanski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaroslaw Komanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Bugajski in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match FC Goodfellas got a corner. Trzynastki Błeszno Cz-wa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Quintino Carvalhais ran over to the corner to take the kick. Maciej Brzeszczak was a little too slow when Quintino Carvalhais got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Trzynastki Błeszno Cz-wa's Hüseyin Can Paşa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Udo Etii in the 23 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Tschida in the 24th minute of play forced Trzynastki Błeszno Cz-wa's goalkeeper Maciej Brzeszczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Goodfellas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Quintino Carvalhais in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Trzynastki Błeszno Cz-wa's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Tschida came free, but Maciej Brzeszczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, FC Goodfellas's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Nordkvist came free, but Jaroslaw Komanski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Herbert Bugajski put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jaroslaw Komanski. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Tschida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ruslan Ismanto scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maciej Brzeszczak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Trzynastki Błeszno Cz-wa's Maciej Brzeszczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raigo Vananurm in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Daniel Tschida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maciej Brzeszczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaroslaw Komanski was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Gert Nordkvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gert Nordkvist really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.
