In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Haroldo Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 3rdth minute of the game Tincho Palermo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Tincho Palermo sped through Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Haroldo Dante. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Haroldo Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goal looked a bit too open when Tincho Palermo came free, but Haroldo Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabri Ravelli made a great header on Simbo FC's corner, it was just that Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Simbo FC's Haroldo Dante threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nestor Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Simbo FC's Boleslaw Sidorowicz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Haroldo Dante in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Leonel Messi got a free kick in the 27th minute. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Atl. Taquaritinga from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tincho Palermo got free with Haroldo Dante in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute of the match, Tincho Palermo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Haroldo Dante saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 44th minute Nilmar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aníbal Sá made the kick off in the second half. Liviu Gherghescu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 51 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Simbo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Mías Khalifa, was totally fooled by Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Aníbal Sá, who 53 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 57 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Nahia came free, but Mías Khalifa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simbo FC's Boleslaw Sidorowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Simbo FC's Mías Khalifa got control of the ball when Nilmar de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mías Khalifa made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when David Lima sent off a good shot on target. Mías Khalifa made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Lima in the 68th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miliano Sacristán in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haroldo Dante saved Clube Atl. Taquaritinga from getting behind. In the 95th minute, Carlos Trinidad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
