But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Czeszejko couldn't finish the play. Fabian Czeszejko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Mazza having to interfere. Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennie Michaud in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Fabian Czeszejko notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Karamba's Enrique Mazza. Enrique Mazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Danas Nausėda managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Karamba's supporters rose to their feet, but Danas Nausėda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladan Kovačević breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Czeszejko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panait Maxim hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. FC Karamba's Enrique Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 33rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Fabian Czeszejko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Mazza was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Fabian Czeszejko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fabian Czeszejko might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Mazza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabian Czeszejko ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Mazza made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Fabian Czeszejko sent off a good shot on target. Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danas Nausėda in the 41st minute of play. Fabian Czeszejko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bennie Michaud to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Olimpia HSB were awarded a corner. Fernando Morientes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Panait Maxim got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enrique Mazza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Czeszejko in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Czeszejko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 67th minute of play forced FC Karamba's goalkeeper Enrique Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpia HSB's Zbyszko Skorny was substituted for Artur Walczak. Olimpia HSB's Witold Prosowski was substituted for Tomáš Petrásek. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. After taking down the ball on Olimpia HSB's corner Zbyszko Skorny fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Enrique Mazza quite easily take care of the ball. In the 85th minute of the match Olimpia HSB got a corner. FC Karamba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Morientes ran over to the corner to take the kick. 89 minutes into the match, Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vilhelm Jonasson. Jacek Pietrowiak might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Mazza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
