The Los Trip fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustín Rossi should have stopped the shot. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Klemensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rain De Hond in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Rain De Hond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustín Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Bruno Capello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruno Capello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jannes Van Leempoel made a huge save. Jannes Van Leempoel made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Bruno Capello sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Genk's 邵泉林 got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Capello in the 25th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Jannes Van Leempoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rain De Hond in the 30th minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustín Rossi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Los Trip's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vergil Rupov in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Fausto Gauargi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Trip's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genk the free kick. After a rather tough play, Los Trip's Fausto Gauargi got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Los Trip booed when Genk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. 邵泉林 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Trip's Bruno Capello got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Los Trip players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Genk were winning 0-2.

In the 84th minute, Genk's Rain De Hond dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 邵泉林 got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alexander Klemensson. 93 minutes into the match, Genk's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca came free, but Jannes Van Leempoel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes Genk's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was CJ Asensio who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Los Trip's corner CJ Asensio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jannes Van Leempoel quite easily take care of the ball. 96 minutes into the game, 邵泉林 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Trip the free kick. 邵泉林 kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Genk played a much better game than Los Trip and deserved their victory. The Los Trip players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
