In the 4th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stanislaw Koczara in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Mitovski saved San Mauro A Mare FC from getting behind. André Courtois was a little too slow when Tony Rosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Rosa in the 13th minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Levent Hicran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Templars FC's André Courtois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Templars FC's Staffan Apelqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serafo Tome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. André Courtois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Staffan Apelqvist in the 33rd minute of play forced San Mauro A Mare FC's goalkeeper Rogério Mitovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Mauro A Mare FC's Rogério Mitovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Staffan Apelqvist in the 34th minute of play. Rogério Mitovski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanislaw Koczara's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Levent Hicran got free with André Courtois in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of San Mauro A Mare FC booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evan Vancell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

San Mauro A Mare FC's Zhu Yun Bin was substituted for Tony Rosa. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Levent Hicran to make the kick off. Stanislaw Koczara struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Rogério Mitovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Templars FC. Levent Hicran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogério Mitovski was a little too slow when Staffan Apelqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-1. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Staffan Apelqvist hit a great ball. Jonathan Sammut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Mitovski having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, San Mauro A Mare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Sammut came free, but Rogério Mitovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Courtois didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhu Yun Bin went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Armin Berardini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Courtois having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Staffan Apelqvist in the 97th minute of play forced San Mauro A Mare FC's goalkeeper Rogério Mitovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
