The audience was convinced that Jonathan Sammut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richmond De Worteleere was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Jonathan Sammut might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richmond De Worteleere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Sammut ran back to his position shaking his head. If Marciano Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richmond De Worteleere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Sammut in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AC 1986 Vinalito's Pichit Mercier got a free kick in the 22nd minute. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Richmond De Worteleere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Alvarenga in the 54th minute of the match. Richmond De Worteleere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Sammut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC 1986 Vinalito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adelino Marques was slow to take the kick. During this time Templars FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Templars FC's corner Adelino Marques fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Richmond De Worteleere quite easily take care of the ball. In the 66th minute Eliseo Frances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richmond De Worteleere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Sammut, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Babayaro Yorgun hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. AC 1986 Vinalito's Alberto Bidun was substituted for Marciano Valente. The supporters of Templars FC booed when AC 1986 Vinalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babayaro Yorgun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Adelino Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Adelino Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in AC 1986 Vinalito's zone, Osvaldo Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richmond De Worteleere came out of the goal and Osvaldo Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Eliseo Frances managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC 1986 Vinalito's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Frances was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Courtois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Sammut hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AC 1986 Vinalito's Pichit Mercier got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jonathan Sammut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Richmond De Worteleere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wu Xiao, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. AC 1986 Vinalito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcin Wietrzychowski in the 99th minute. Bruno Abeita kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. When the match was over Templars FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AC 1986 Vinalito throughout the match.
