Alfonso Leon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Vallin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Youth Academy Of Rhye's Jonathan Vallin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Neto in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Murilo Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Vallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute E.C.Pelotas were awarded a corner. Benjamin Marinho went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 13th minute Lionel Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Vallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to E.C.Pelotas getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gerson Moraes hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, E.C.Pelotas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Neto to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The audience was convinced that Alfonso Leon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Vallin was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Sobhy Paredes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çağrı Torehan in the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Youth Academy Of Rhye's Lars Ivarsson got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Jonathan Vallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Modrić, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Çağrı Torehan in the 75th minute of play forced E.C.Pelotas's goalkeeper Sobhy Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Youth Academy Of Rhye's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Gaúcho came free, but Jonathan Vallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sobhy Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağrı Torehan in the 81st minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murilo Neto couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
