But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Jakobsson couldn't finish the play. Hug Urquiaga charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hug Urquiaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, Kwyjibo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hug Urquiaga to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hug Urquiaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sylwester Wawro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Gancedo in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kwyjibo's zone, Faron Castrejana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylwester Wawro came out of the goal and Faron Castrejana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charro Dieguez in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sylwester Wawro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute of the match, Faron Castrejana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sylwester Wawro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hug Urquiaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, Etxepare Angostina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kwyjibo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ya Perdimos F.C. the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hug Urquiaga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
