Luis Bladi might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Alejandro Seisdedos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Bladi ran back to his position shaking his head. José Alejandro Seisdedos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Bladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Club Deportes La Serena's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Luis Bladi scored to the left of an out of position José Alejandro Seisdedos, making the score, 2-0. In the 27th minute, Luis Bladi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
