Catadão were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Astillero del Guayas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Álvaro Godoi took the corner. The corner ended in Chu Yun Lei almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De did a great save. Long Yuan De made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid de Salles in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Deivid de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catadão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deivid de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Deivid de Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Long Yuan De took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Catadão were awarded a corner. Álvaro Godoi went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid de Salles in the 23rd minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Long Yuan De showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid de Salles in the 25th minute of the match. Astillero del Guayas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Deivid de Salles scored to the left of an out of position Long Yuan De, making the score, 0-7. Deivid de Salless short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Long Yuan De to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Catadão's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
