With a little luck, Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg got control of the ball when Benedykt Pankiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Tage Sander fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hisingen IK's protests and gave Tage Sander a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Hisingen IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Sander to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Benedykt Pankiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. From close distance Benedykt Pankiewicz pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 8 minutes into the game. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Nyman in the 12th minute of play. A hard shot 20 in the game by Ricardinho de Senna from a close distance when the talented Einar Jernberg managed to make a qualified save. Hisingen IK's players were relieved. Benedykt Pankiewicz took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Einar Jernberg. Einar Jernberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Einar Jernberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Pankiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliot Högman in the 28th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 34 in the game by Benedykt Pankiewicz from a close distance when the talented Einar Jernberg managed to make a qualified save. Hisingen IK's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Lei Feng Yan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Einar Jernberg. That made the score 5-0 in the 41 minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Benedykt Pankiewicz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Einar Jernberg, 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

In the 56th minute, Mario Pochekanski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einar Jernberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Pochekanski in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Jernberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Pochekanski in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernt Vennerkvist got free with Esen Sanal in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tage Sander was slow to take the kick. During this time Hisingen IK's players had a chance to rest. In the 73rd minute, Mario Pochekanski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esen Sanal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Nyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esen Sanal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viktor Nyman in the 77th minute. Mattias Gabrielsson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Lei Feng Yan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hisingen IK's Claes Carlsson got a free kick in the 81st minute. Lei Feng Yan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Einar Jernberg. Hisingen IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Casper Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 89th minute of the match Gernando Falcão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Einar Jernberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Lei Feng Yan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Einar Jernberg was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Mattias Gabrielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Hisingen IK's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho de Senna came free, but Einar Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fully deserved thier win.
