Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. İbrahim Volkan started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot got control of the ball when Marcu Tofan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Tofan came free, but Aguinaga Nebot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Esmeraldas S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefanos Terzopoulos to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match, Marcu Tofan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aguinaga Nebot was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Işıkalp Yerhum in the 16th minute of play. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Işıkalp Yerhum in the 25th minute of play. Toader Tinu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İbrahim Volkan in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes in the game Işıkalp Yerhum did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ovidiu Şerbănescu. Esmeraldas S.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Marcu Tofan scored to the left of an out of position Aguinaga Nebot, making the score, 1-1. When Nicu Slavici fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romos FC's protests and gave Nicu Slavici a yellow card for diving instead. Nicu Slavici kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Romos FC's Toader Tinu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İbrahim Volkan in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute Esmeraldas S.C. were awarded a corner. Niki Borda went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Esmeraldas S.C.'s Niki Borda to fire away a dangerous shot which Toader Tinu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aguinaga Nebot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcu Tofan in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wu Cheng De was the one to do the kick off. Aguinaga Nebot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Işıkalp Yerhum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by İbrahim Volkan in the 54th minute of play forced Romos FC's goalkeeper Toader Tinu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Ovidiu Şerbănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguinaga Nebot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Martinez Cines came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Esmeraldas S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martinez Cines couldn't finish the play. Aguinaga Nebot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wu Cheng De, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Wu Cheng De notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot. Aguinaga Nebot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damian Maftei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Tinu having to interfere. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Stefanos Terzopoulos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcu Tofan in the 68 minute of the game. In the 73rd minute of the match Esmeraldas S.C. got a corner. Romos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niki Borda ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 74th minute Marcu Tofan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguinaga Nebot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguinaga Nebot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Şerbănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aguinaga Nebot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wu Cheng De, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Niki Borda hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Stefanos Terzopoulos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 88 minutes into the game, Işıkalp Yerhum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Aguinaga Nebot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, Damian Maftei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Romos FC had won after a very even match.
