The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vakoufi Utd's Charis Raftopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Pimenta in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestoras Soulidis in the 14th minute of play forced SALIMEN's goalkeeper Elói Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Nestoras Soulidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Danilo Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Cláudio Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. SALIMEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charis Raftopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Cristi Bădescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charis Raftopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İldeniz Davutoğlu in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Vakoufi Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aykut Berksan to maneuver through the defense. Ahmed-Muhammed Ya Afar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Charis Raftopoulos. Vakoufi Utd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 45th minute Danilo Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İldeniz Davutoğlu to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Vakoufi Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birkan Balıkçı to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Vakoufi Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Pimenta came free, but Charis Raftopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmed-Muhammed Ya Afar during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vakoufi Utd made a substitution. One of SALIMEN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vakoufi Utd:s goal. When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Vakoufi Utd's Mauricio Chago got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Elói Miranda. After a rather tough play, SALIMEN's Ahmed-Muhammed Ya Afar got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd match minute, SALIMEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. João Vítor Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Charis Raftopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charis Raftopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rony Eger's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. João Vítor Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Charis Raftopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Vakoufi Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Bădescu to maneuver through the defense. Elói Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Lazarakis in the 94th minute of the match. If Vassilis Lazarakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vakoufi Utd's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
