After having played for 14 minutes, Samuel Etoo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Predators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Etoo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andoni Zubizarreta was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Rodolfo Bezerra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rodolfo Bezerra really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Andoni Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Han Hui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Predators's goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacio Perrando. With a little luck, Predators's Andoni Zubizarreta got control of the ball when Rodolfo Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florian Kicia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Etoo in the 23rd minute of play. Andoni Zubizarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Bezerra in the 24th minute. The C.A. Calamuchita fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when C.A. Calamuchita's Ignacio Perrando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rodolfo Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Andoni Zubizarreta made a huge save. After 31 played minutes C.A. Calamuchita got a freekick which was hit by Americo Txilar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Salas in the 32nd minute of play forced C.A. Calamuchita's goalkeeper Florian Kicia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Kicia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tümer Gülsoy in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, C.A. Calamuchita's Rodolfo Bezerra got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Etoo was the one to do the kick off. Marcelo Salas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Florian Kicia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 55 minutes of play, C.A. Calamuchita's Han Hui made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andoni Zubizarreta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andoni Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When C.A. Predators's Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Han Hui in the 63rd minute of play. Han Hui scored 4-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andoni Zubizarreta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute Han Hui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andoni Zubizarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andoni Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Truls Kirkemo in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, C.A. Calamuchita's Truls Kirkemo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andoni Zubizarreta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 82nd minute Marcelo Salas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Kicia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tümer Gülsoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Florian Kicia made a huge save. Florian Kicia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gylippus Nikolakakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ignacio Perrando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andoni Zubizarreta was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. 90 minutes into the game, Marcelo Salas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florian Kicia. Marcelo Salas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. C.A. Calamuchita were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
