The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcelo Cordero might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Cordero ran back to his position shaking his head. João Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Cordero in the 4th minute of play. Brazil Academy's João Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Cordero in the 6th minute of play. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Marcelo Cordero sped through Brazil Academy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Couto. 13 minutes into the match, Marcelo Cordero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of João Couto, 2-0. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcelo Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto-Carlos Neymar, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Marcelo Cordero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the Brazil Academy defense, Andrew Robertson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Couto. The Brazil Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Couto should have stopped the shot. After 35 played minutes Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Cordero. In the 39th minute Roberto-Carlos Neymar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dražen Ladić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Cordero scored 6-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo Cordero was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 62nd minute, Marcelo Cordero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Marcelo Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. João Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Haroldo Alfonso was substituted for Marcelo Cordero. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Cristoforo Cristofari was substituted for Cristobal Polo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Alfonso in the 69th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper João Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Haroldo Alfonso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Haroldo Alfonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Alfonso in the 78th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper João Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Alfonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Haroldo Alfonso notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Brazil Academy's João Couto. João Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benjamin Messias hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes, Haroldo Alfonso made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Brazil Academy's João Couto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Benjamin Messias in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Jose Bero. Rafinha de Andrade hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Brazil Academy! A nice corner shot did that Cristoforo Cristofari got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Couto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fully deserved thier win.
