In the 15thth minute of the game Jari Alenius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jari Alenius in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dražen Ladić saved Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT from getting behind. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jari Alenius sped through Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dražen Ladić. Vellito Alguerdo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Marcelo Cordero sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, NAGANO F.C's Ariel Ortega got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jari Alenius in the 26th minute of play forced Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jari Alenius might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dražen Ladić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jari Alenius ran back to his position shaking his head. Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jari Alenius in the 27th minute of play. Marcelo Cordero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Vellito Alguerdo made a huge save. Jari Alenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dražen Ladić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Marcelo Cordero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vellito Alguerdo. Marcelo Cordero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 36th minute, Andrew Robertson made a precise shot to the right of Vellito Alguerdo. NAGANO F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 39 minutes into the match, Marcelo Cordero notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of NAGANO F.C's Vellito Alguerdo. Vellito Alguerdo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Vellito Alguerdo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Cordero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Marcelo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vellito Alguerdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fisica UNT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Bero to maneuver through the defense. NAGANO F.C's Gabriel Batistuta was substituted for Jari Alenius. Haroldo Alfonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vellito Alguerdo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Alfonso ran back to his position shaking his head. Fisica UNT's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
