In the 13th minute Carlos Mei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheng De Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after GoldDiam V55's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ediberto de Queirós took the corner. After taking down the ball on Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's corner Ediberto de Queirós fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cheng De Jing quite easily take care of the ball. Carlos Mei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cheng De Jing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Fábio Vieira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cheng De Jing quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by GoldDiam V55's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ediberto de Queirós was slow to take the kick. During this time Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's players had a chance to rest. GoldDiam V55's Cheng De Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mei in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
