The GFG VOEL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, GFG VOEL's Gábor Joó nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Trigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 10th minute, Duro Takle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the game, Válter Martins threw the ball into play from the sideline. GFG VOEL's Aquilino Damásio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gábor Joó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélder Trigo having to make a save. Diogo Zonta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. Camilo Suarez walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Hélder Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gábor Joó in the 36th minute of play. If Gábor Joó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gábor Joó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hélder Trigo having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Gábor Joó had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélder Trigo. Vascogoianiense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gábor Joó was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Ali Cengiz Kutbay struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Hélder Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GFG VOEL. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldão Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. GFG VOEL's Gábor Joó was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 58th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Gábor Joó might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Trigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gábor Joó ran back to his position shaking his head. A sloppy throw-in by Duro Takle in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vascogoianiense FC's José Carlos Medeiros. After 75 played minutes Gábor Joó rounded Vascogoianiense FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. Hélder Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gábor Joó in the 83rd minute of the match. Gábor Joó received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hélder Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Gábor Joó took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Hélder Trigo to make any attempt to save it. Gábor Joó took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélder Trigo. Hélder Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Gábor Joó took a quick shot and it went in 0-12 without a chance for Hélder Trigo to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over GFG VOEL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vascogoianiense FC throughout the match.
