The corner was taken by Jakov Bundev in the 6th minute. It was a well-played corner which Jimmy Hjälm managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 8th minute Han Wei Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spase Kastrati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Jimmy Hjälm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cedrick Francoeur. FC Catalonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jimmy Hjälm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Jenaro in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Catalonia's Cezary Czeszyk got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Franck Gamel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Cedrick Francoeur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Franck Gamel came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the ✩ Pep Team ✩ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franck Gamel couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Sultan-Mehmet Khan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cedrick Francoeur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 31st minute Angelo Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spase Kastrati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, FC Catalonia's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Hjälm came free, but Cedrick Francoeur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Franck Gamel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cedrick Francoeur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franck Gamel in the 47th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Catalonia's zone, Jimmy Hjälm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cedrick Francoeur came out of the goal and Jimmy Hjälm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Han Wei Yuan to make the kick off. Spase Kastrati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Han Wei Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th match minute, ✩ Pep Team ✩ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Hjälm to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Franck Gamel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cedrick Francoeur. FC Catalonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franck Gamel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Jimmy Hjälm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Cedrick Francoeur made a huge save. Spase Kastrati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezary Czeszyk in the 65th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Jimmy Hjälm took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Cedrick Francoeur to make any attempt to save it. Franck Gamel might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cedrick Francoeur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franck Gamel ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakov Bundev in the 74th minute of play forced FC Catalonia's goalkeeper Cedrick Francoeur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy Hjälm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cedrick Francoeur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sultan-Mehmet Khan in the 78th minute of play. Sultan-Mehmet Khans short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Cedrick Francoeur to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, FC Catalonia's Cedrick Francoeur got control of the ball when Sultan-Mehmet Khan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cedrick Francoeur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Hjälm, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Jakov Bundev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Cedrick Francoeur made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Cedrick Francoeur successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Franck Gamel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cedrick Francoeur having to interfere. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Han Wei Yuan in the 95th minute of play. The ✩ Pep Team ✩ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ✩ Pep Team ✩ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
