Sebastian Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Einar Reisalu in the 24th minute of play. JK Kurevere's Virgilio Mateus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 27th minute of play. Virgilio Mateus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jörn Svartengren's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Jörn Svartengren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgilio Mateus having to make a save. Virgilio Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Svartengren in the 31st minute of play. Jörn Svartengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Mateus having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dawid Beninda got free with Sebastian Hellkvist in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute Einar Reisalu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Jörn Svartengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Mateus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Einar Reisalu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Reisalu came free, but Sebastian Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Inter de Guayaquil FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Virgilio Mateus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the match, JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Virgilio Mateus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörn Svartengren. 56 minutes into the game, Jörn Svartengren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Morales in the 65th minute of play forced JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Virgilio Mateus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Mateusz Giertych managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateusz Giertych was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jakub Ziombkowski was substituted for Victor Morales. JK Kurevere's Robert Müürsepp was substituted for Ram Bo. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Inter de Guayaquil FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
