Mateo Michael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinson Haaland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lost Boys Sports Academy booed when Atlético Nuevo Laredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Bernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Atlético Nuevo Laredo defense, Edinson Haaland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateo Michael. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateo Michael should have stopped the shot. Ivan Drago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Rojas in the 13th minute of play. Edinson Haaland scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Michael, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mateo Michael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinson Haaland in the 19th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Lost Boys Sports Academy's Edinson Haaland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateo Michael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Valentin Orlan hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Mateo Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Edinson Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Michael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Valentin Orlan got a free kick in the 44th minute. Edinson Haaland took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateo Michael. Mateo Michael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. After the first half Lost Boys Sports Academy were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edinson Haaland was the one to do the kick off. Mateo Michael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edinson Haaland in the 51st minute. If Edinson Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, Edinson Haaland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Michael. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edinson Haaland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. Lost Boys Sports Academy's Hu Cheng was substituted for Marcelo Xabat. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johan Sellberg in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Michael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johan Sellberg in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Michael saved Atlético Nuevo Laredo from getting behind. Mateo Michael made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Johan Sellberg sent off a good shot on target. When Freddy Restu fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Nuevo Laredo's protests and gave Freddy Restu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Freddy Restu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Drago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobías Astorga, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Johan Sellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johan Sellberg got free with Mateo Michael in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 95 played minutes Atlético Nuevo Laredo got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Restu.
