But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silas Arantes couldn't finish the play. Silas Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Ferraz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jumeuc Futebol Clube's zone, Donato Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Ferraz came out of the goal and Donato Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Donato Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renan Madureira's late challenge caught a Jumeuc Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renan Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Jumeuc Futebol Clube booed when BMB IMOVEIS SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Hílton Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Hílton Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Teodoro Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Arantes in the 27th minute of play. Teodoro Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Dino Linares hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silas Arantes was the one to do the kick off. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BMB IMOVEIS SC the free kick. Joel Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Tavares sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Teodoro Ferraz threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Luís Fernando Tavares this time. In the 73rd minute, Donato Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silas Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Donato Marques succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 76th playminute. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Adelino Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sérgio de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Silas Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Raimundo Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Silas Arantes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hílton Penha in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The BMB IMOVEIS SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BMB IMOVEIS SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
