Gabriel Arsene's late challenge caught a FC BaLiSt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Arsene helped the player get up and apologised. Basarab Secoşan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The supporters of FC BaLiSt booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iurie Honciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basarab Secoşan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Manole Secară. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Basarab Secoşan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Vâlcu in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC BaLiSt defense, Bogdan Paveliuc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horaţiu Deleanu. The FC BaLiSt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Deleanu should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Basarab Secoşan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 26 minutes, Mugur Marin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC BaLiSt and the FC Cosula-BTF- players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC BaLiSt getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Mugur Marin hit a great ball. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Basarab Secoşan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save FC Cosula-BTF- from getting a goal against them. Aurelian Giurcă kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Dorin Nebunu made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horaţiu Deleanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horaţiu Deleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Paveliuc in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Marius Paveliuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emil Șeimeanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Vâlcu in the 51st minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Basarab Secoşan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Deleanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorin Nebunu in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Dorin Nebunu made a precise shot to the right of Horaţiu Deleanu. FC BaLiSt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Dorin Nebunu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Horaţiu Deleanu made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in FC BaLiSt's zone, Filip Hosu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Deleanu came out of the goal and Filip Hosu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Bogdan Paveliuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Deleanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bogdan Paveliuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucrețiu Filimon kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Gavril Bobei got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leontin Vâlcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 91st minute, Bogdan Paveliuc made a precise shot to the right of Horaţiu Deleanu. FC BaLiSt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. FC BaLiSt's Horaţiu Deleanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save FC BaLiSt from getting a goal against them. The FC Cosula-BTF- players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
