An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Patrido in the 10th minute of play forced ЦСКА's goalkeeper Denimir Bidzhev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Velko Zahariev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Retorno de Palermo's Anibal Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rostislav Múnkov in the 15th minute of play. Julian Afonso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 17th playminute. Denimir Bidzhev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Patrido in the 21st minute of the match. ЦСКА's Denimir Bidzhev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save ЦСКА from getting a goal against them. In the 24th match minute, ЦСКА was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trayan Panayotov to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Afonso got free with Denimir Bidzhev in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denimir Bidzhev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Patrido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denimir Bidzhev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Nabar in the 30th minute of play. After 34 played minutes ЦСКА got a freekick which was hit by Venko Loginov. 35 minutes into the game, El Retorno de Palermo's Julian Afonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denimir Bidzhev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a little luck, ЦСКА's Denimir Bidzhev got control of the ball when Danilo Milian tried to sneak it across the goal line. ЦСКА's Denimir Bidzhev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save ЦСКА from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rostislav Múnkov made a kick off. After 57 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Walme. In the 59th minute, Cristian Napier made a precise shot to the right of Denimir Bidzhev. ЦСКА's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. But to his dismay, Julian Afonso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Denimir Bidzhev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Nabar in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Florencio Patrido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Retorno de Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 95 minutes into the match, ЦСКА's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Napier came free, but Denimir Bidzhev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El Retorno de Palermo fully deserved thier win.
