The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Romeo Raulo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. If Thomás Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the game, Marcos Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Miami Futbol Club the free kick. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Marcos Cruz hit a great ball. Amadeu Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Romeo Raulo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgar Trigo. The goal made the score 2-0. Marcos Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute Racing Miami Futbol Club were awarded a corner. Romeo Raulo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Barrenta SC's goalie and right to Rolland Kellogg. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Barrenta SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Edgar Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Raulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Tyrone Terrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Matos to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fábio Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Trigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Chance Adams was substituted for Romeo Raulo. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Hugo Gerber replaced Luiz Fábio Lima. Guilherme Veiga made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Hugo Gerber sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Hugo Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrenta SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute Chance Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrenta SC reached it.
