Godofredo Valentine's late challenge caught a AQUILES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godofredo Valentine helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AQUILES booed when Sakura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Valentine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augustinas Gavorskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Magne Jönsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustinas Gavorskis in the 14th minute of play. After taking down the ball on AQUILES's corner Edward Van Mechelen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Magne Jönsson quite easily take care of the ball. AQUILES's Higinio Sansone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save AQUILES from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute of the match Sakura FC got a corner. AQUILES's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Artemio Jakes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Artemio Jakes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Higinio Sansone quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the game, Ariel Esquivel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higinio Sansone. Ariel Esquivel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Godofredo Valentine got a throw-in 26 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fernan Herauso. If Augustinas Gavorskis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Eutor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Jönsson having to interfere. Higinio Sansone made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Fernan Herauso sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustinas Gavorskis in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magne Jönsson saved Sakura FC from getting behind. Higinio Sansone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Herauso in the 41st minute of play. Higinio Sansone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Esquivel in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Sakura FC made a substitution. Dušan Vlahović replaced Ariel Esquivel. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augustinas Gavorskis was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Sakura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augustinas Gavorskis came free, but Magne Jönsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AQUILES's Ariel Honrio was substituted for Augustinas Gavorskis. Teodoro Guillelme kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Honrio in the 68th minute of play forced Sakura FC's goalkeeper Magne Jönsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sakura FC's Edgard Barea was substituted for Artemio Jakes. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Teodoro Guillelme with Edgard Barea as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Sakura FC's Magne Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Honrio in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Sakura FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Guillelme. AQUILES's attentive Flavio Chap managed to snatch the ball when Teodoro Guillelme made a throw-in in the 79th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Ariel Honrio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Magne Jönsson was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, AQUILES's Roberto Eutor got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Edward Van Mechelen hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Benjamim Novaes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Dušan Vlahović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higinio Sansone. AQUILES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dušan Vlahović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

For all the effort they put into the match, the AQUILES players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sakura FC.
