U21 Peru:s Melquiades Amor showed great skill when he stopped Đuro Bernardić:s penalty. U21 Croatia were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after U21 Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Đuro Bernardić took the corner. The corner ended in Đuro Bernardić almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Peru's Melquiades Amor did a great save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U21 Croatia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
