In the 21st minute Leonardo Medardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jóhan Løkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Teodosio Orkatz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Óli Hansen in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to U21 Faroe Islands getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jón Pauli Samuelsen hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Leonardo Medardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jóhan Løkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvestre Calvet hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Teodosio Orkatz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ásbjørn Samuelsen. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Medardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes U21 Faroe Islands got a freekick which was hit by Óli Hansen. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jón Pauli Samuelsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Faroe Islands's supporters rose to their feet, but Jón Pauli Samuelsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Orkatz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Óli Hansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, U21 Faroe Islands's Jóhan Løkin got control of the ball when Victorino Garci tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Boulogne F.C.'s Apolo Libertad got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jón Pauli Samuelsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Medardo in the 71st minute of play forced U21 Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Jóhan Løkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Garci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Jóhan Løkin made a huge save. Teodosio Orkatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Óli Hansen, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Victorino Garci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jóhan Løkin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Ermegildo Cordarell's late challenge caught a U21 Faroe Islands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Cordarell helped the player get up and apologised. Ermegildo Cordarell kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The U21 Faroe Islands fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when U21 Faroe Islands's Óli Hansen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benito Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, U21 Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Jóhan Løkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Garci. The U21 Faroe Islands support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
