After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Rosen Penchovski managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Arsenal Varna's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosen Penchovski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Levent Tuliyski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zhecho Tomev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Galin Popovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, FC Bourgas's goal looked a bit too open when Peep Jüriöö came free, but Levent Tuliyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Levent Tuliyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastas Tudzharov in the 15th minute of the match. Kamen Kudev kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. FC Arsenal Varna's Anastas Tudzharov got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, FC Arsenal Varna's goal looked a bit too open when Yoncho Menkov came free, but Zhecho Tomev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Galin Popovski in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zhecho Tomev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yoncho Menkov took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zhecho Tomev. Zhecho Tomev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, FC Arsenal Varna's goal looked a bit too open when Yoncho Menkov came free, but Zhecho Tomev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th match minute, FC Arsenal Varna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boncho Draganski to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paun Baynov in the 39th minute of play forced FC Arsenal Varna's goalkeeper Zhecho Tomev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Yoncho Menkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhecho Tomev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes FC Arsenal Varna got a freekick which was hit by Rosen Penchovski. 45 minutes into the game, FC Bourgas's Yoncho Menkov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zhecho Tomev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastas Tudzharov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Bourgas getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Velimir Petzanov hit a great ball. 51 minutes into the match, FC Bourgas's goal looked a bit too open when Rosen Penchovski came free, but Levent Tuliyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Levent Tuliyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosen Penchovski in the 52nd minute of play. Zhecho Tomev was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Yoncho Menkov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yoncho Menkov really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 64th minute Peep Jüriöö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levent Tuliyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Peep Jüriöö who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Bourgas's Levent Tuliyski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, FC Arsenal Varna's Zhecho Tomev got control of the ball when Yoncho Menkov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yoncho Menkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Zhecho Tomev made a huge save. Anastas Tudzharov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC Arsenal Varna's Zhecho Tomev got control of the ball when Galin Popovski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Yoncho Menkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bourgas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yoncho Menkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Levent Tuliyski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastas Tudzharov, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Zhecho Tomev acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Paun Baynov. After some careless play in the FC Bourgas defense, Anastas Tudzharov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Levent Tuliyski. The FC Bourgas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Levent Tuliyski should have stopped the shot. The FC Bourgas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Bourgas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
