The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Empire of Soccer fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Empire of Soccer's Ladislao Harriet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Penn Cornelius got free with Uriel Malvin in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yao Jian Lei's late challenge caught a Empire of Soccer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yao Jian Lei helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Original Sabahan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yao Jian Lei to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Ladislao Harriet made a precise shot to the right of Budi Guci. Original Sabahan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ladislao Harriet scored 0-4 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Budi Guci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Ladislao Harriet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Budi Guci. Original Sabahan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ladislao Harriet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. The supporters of Original Sabahan booed when Empire of Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wit Beton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes Original Sabahan got a freekick which was hit by Candra Akmal. 28 minutes into the match, Original Sabahan's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Harriet came free, but Budi Guci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ladislao Harriet might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Budi Guci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ladislao Harriet ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Harriet in the 29th minute of play forced Original Sabahan's goalkeeper Budi Guci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Wit Beton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Empire of Soccer's supporters rose to their feet, but Wit Beton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Budi Guci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Budi Guci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timmy Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ladislao Harriet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the game, Empire of Soccer's Ladislao Harriet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Budi Guci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 51st minute, Original Sabahan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Timmy Sandberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Budi Guci came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Empire of Soccer's Timmy Sandberg. Cecep Wijaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Original Sabahan defense, Ladislao Harriet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Budi Guci. The Original Sabahan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Budi Guci should have stopped the shot. Empire of Soccer made a substitution. Xanthos Fikias replaced Furo Bolas. The long shot by Wit Beton in the 70th minute really tested Budi Guci's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 71stth minute of the game Ladislao Harriet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Original Sabahan's Budi Guci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Original Sabahan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Ladislao Harriet scored to the left of an out of position Budi Guci, making the score, 0-9. Original Sabahan's Budi Guci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Blanco in the 80th minute of play. Ladislao Harriet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Budi Guci when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 92nd match minute, Original Sabahan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecep Wijaya to maneuver through the defense. Budi Guci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Harriet in the 93rd minute. Empire of Soccer's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
