The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matias Goyanes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Richie Sánchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismaïl Amirèche was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Jawed Belghith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mipol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jawed Belghith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bellemou Rahouli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jamel Boyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mipol's Allal Zaccari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Goyanes in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kuwait SC's zone, Jawed Belghith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamel Boyd came out of the goal and Jawed Belghith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 98 minutes, Jawed Belghith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mipol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jawed Belghith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kuwait SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
