In the 14thth minute of the game Rory Trimble who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sawtry's Massoud Ghotbi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 16 minutes, Hans Smefeldt made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sawtry's Massoud Ghotbi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hans Smefeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bardia Golzar during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, one of Sawtry:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sawtry. Keith Ripley placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 27 minutes into the match, Sawtry's goal looked a bit too open when Marlon Mumford came free, but Massoud Ghotbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Flamengo's 柯誉海 got control of the ball when Salar Bagheri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Massoud Ghotbi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marlon Mumford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Smefeldt in the 40th minute of play forced Sawtry's goalkeeper Massoud Ghotbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marlon Mumford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Massoud Ghotbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Hans Smefeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Massoud Ghotbi. Sawtry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hans Smefeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salar Bagheri was the one to do the kick off. Massoud Ghotbi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hans Smefeldt went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. A hard shot 54 in the game by Hans Smefeldt from a close distance when the talented Massoud Ghotbi managed to make a qualified save. Sawtry's players were relieved. Hans Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Massoud Ghotbi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Sawtry's Mehrzad Majidi got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Ferdows Azimi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute of the match, Hans Smefeldt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Massoud Ghotbi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Andrew Gillespie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Massoud Ghotbi having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Amir Parsa Bozorgzadeh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sawtry's Massoud Ghotbi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Sawtry from getting a goal against them. Marlon Mumford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Massoud Ghotbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Massoud Ghotbi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Smefeldt's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. The referee gave Flamengo a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Keith Ripley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sawtry's Massoud Ghotbi. 0-7. Silvan Bragger kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
